The VR/AR Association (VRARA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Josh Bankston, Partner at Mace Virtual Labs, as the new Chapter President for our Houston Chapter. Additionally, we have appointed four Chapter Advisory Board members to help provide strategic direction and leadership. We extend our gratitude to Kyle Daughtry from ExxonMobil, Susan Spark from SLB, Sean Guerre from InnovateEnergy, and Chad Modad from Mace Virtual Labs for joining the advisory board. Their appoints were formalized at a VRARA reception hosted in partnership with the Industrial IMMERSIVE 2025 Week at the Westin Memorial City on March 3rd 2025.
"Houston is the epicenter of the energy industry and home to some of the world’s largest energy companies. In addition, the city has a vast healthcare sector and is home to the Texas Medical Center (TMC), the largest healthcare facility in the world. XR technology is becoming increasingly prevalent in these industries, and business and technology leaders are seeking opportunities to connect, learn, and collaborate with experts and other end users in the XR space. We want VRARA to be their local hub, with strong connections to our global community," John Cunningham, COO of VRARA.
"We are thrilled to have Josh, Kyle, Susan, Sean, and Chad take on leadership roles in expanding VRARA's presence in Houston. They are all passionate about the enterprise applications of XR and are highly respected leaders in their fields," said Nathan Pettyjohn, President of VRARA.
Josh Bankston added, "I have been involved with VRARA for many years and have seen firsthand how members collaborate through conferences, workshops, and committees to advance the understanding and adoption of XR technology. I am honored to lead the Houston Chapter and grow our XR ecosystem."
