On December 12, XPANCEO, a deep tech company that is developing the next generation of computing via smart contact lenses with XR vision, health monitoring, content surfing features, and Konica Minolta Sensing Europe will announce the world’s first system for testing augmented reality (AR) smart contact lenses that redefines benchmarks for XR wearables, in a market projectedto reach an impressive $1,913.7 billion by 2032.
This collaboration addresses a long-standing industry challenge – the lack of reliable tools for evaluating complex near-eye displays, such as those used in VR/AR/MR headsets. After an announcement of a successful proof of concept earlier this year, the system now simulates actual human eye characteristics in testing – something existing systems can't do. Its unique front-aperture design and innovative lens geometry enable precise measurement of how users will experience AR visuals in real-world conditions.
