VR + AR THROUGH A LEGAL LENS: HOSTED BY THE TORONTO CHAPTER VRAR ASSOCIATION + FASKEN

Join us on March 28th from 6pm to 8:30pm as we partner with Fasken Law, one of Toronto's leading law firms to explore Virtual and Augmented Reality through a legal perspective.

We'll be covering:

1. Applications of VR + AR in Law

2. A look at patents, copyrights and trademarks for VR + AR companies and the experiences / platforms they build

3. Exploring Liability considerations when deploying VR + AR experiences to clients and the general public

The legal side of business and emerging tech is often not talked about enough, particularly early in the growth phase of an industry. Whether you are in the VR + AR industry or the legal industry, these are conversations that are critical to explore.

There will also be a Q&A session as well the opportunity to network with representatives from Fasken, the Toronto VRAR Association and all attendees.

It will be hosted at CAD MicroSolutions in Etobicoke!, You will receive an incredibly awesome tour of the facility and our host Jason Cohen will share some of the VR work they are working on.

Also on the agenda, we will talk about the meeting plans for 2019! We will plan the monthly meetings, venue locations and assemble the volunteers to help us steer the Toronto Chapter into a successful and valuable year for our ecosystem.

The VR/AR Association (VRARA) has announced a partnership with Cantech Investment Conference; the biggest technology investment conference in Canada, coming to Toronto on January 31st! The VRARA, a global association partnered with the Toronto chapter, is working with the event's producers, Cambridge House International and Cantech Letter, to create a virtual reality village that will showcase Canada's most innovative virtual and augmented reality companies.

Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality allows people to be creative in ways beyond what reality can provide. The experiences that VR/AR can provide can easily provide Disney World and Wonderland experiences in ways that demand less space, less money, and more potential for growth. Offering ways to experience a roller coaster, being skydiving, being a Ghostbuster, all indoors!
