Digi-Capital Reality Network SF Event

Screen Shot 2018-11-09 at 6.50.35 AM.png

Digi-Capital’s next Reality Network has been announced for Wednesday, December 5th in San Francisco. It is by invitation only (and free) for AR/VR CEOs, corporate VPs and VC Partners, with a few hundred C-level guests from the industry’s global leaders. The focus is on industry-wide opportunities and deal making (commercial deals, partnerships, investments, M&A), with space limited to keep the signal-to-noise ratio high. To quote one guest, “Digi-Capital’s Reality Network is the most connected event for AR/VR/XR Leaders – I’ve never seen a room so crowded with “CEO” on the nametag.” This Reality Network is kindly hosted by our friends at Orange.

While we’ll cover a lot across the industry, the CEO Panel for this Reality Network will focus on AR/VR productivity and ROI. Major enterprise buyers have told us that’s why they’re buying, so understanding their thinking might help to sell to them.

The agenda is:

  • 6pm to 6.30pm – guest arrival and drinks

  • 6.30pm – welcome by Orange

  • 6.40pm – presentation by Digi-Capital Managing Director Tim Merel of the latest AR/VR data/analytics from Digi-Capital’s Analytics Platform and Augmented/Virtual Reality Report Q4 2018

  • 6.50pm to 7.30pm – CEO/Corporate VP panel on AR/VR productivity and ROI, and why/how big customers buy AR/VR services

  • 7.30pm to 9pm – cocktail food/drinks and networking/deal-making

We've reserved a block of free CEO tickets for Digi-Capital’s Reality Network on December 5th for outstanding VR/AR CEOs and corporate VPs who we might not know yet. For tickets, email vrara@digi-capital.com

San Francisco Chapter Meet-up & Fireside Chat with Matt Miesnieks

https_%2F%2Fcdn.evbuc.com%2Fimages%2F48105389%2F305017279%2F1%2Foriginal.png

Please join us Wednesday, August 22nd for the next VRARA SF Chapter Meet-up.

Taking place at WeWork Mid-Market in San Francisco, you'll get a chance to meet the new chapter leadership, followed by a fireside chat with Matt Miesnieks, CEO and Co-Founder of 6D.ai, investor, and influential technology writer.

The San Francisco VR/AR Association's membership has grown significantly over the last three years, and to keep up with that pace, we've recently added significantly to our chapter leadership team to include some of the brightest stars in the ecosystem. The first part of the evening will include a panel discussion with our growing team: Annisa Kau, Sony Green, Alia LeCam, and Jeff Meador about the goals for the VRARA SF Chapter's coming year, and we will also get a sneak-peak at community member's answers to the question, "What makes San Francisco the best city for XR?" from our soon-to-be-published VRARA SF Ecosystem Report.

We will then be joined by Matt Miesnieks for a fireside chat to reflect on this past year since ARKit and ARCore released, and talk about the influence of ARCloud on the evolving augmented reality landscape. We will also get a chance to talk with Matt about 6D.ai's approach to solving for the foundational technology to usher in the next age of spatial computing. The 6D.ai SDK (now in BETA), uses standard built-in smartphone cameras to build a real-time 3D semantic, crowd sourced map of the world, all in the background without a depth camera. This means that spatial computing apps that were only possible to build on expensive HMD's are now possible on ARCore and ARKit smartphones. We will get a chance to hear from Matt personally about how their AI neural-networks will help developer's applications understand the world in 3D.

On the back of demand from the likes of Samsung, we have developed a dedicated VR/AR Zone at the show. This VR/AR Zone offers VRARA members the chance to really show some of the leading names from the enterprise and telco markets, what you can do.

Our exclusive partnership with the GSMA means we are able to offer VRARA members the chance to join the VRAR Association’s Pod Pavilion within the VR/AR Zone at a discounted rate.

VRARA members can also choose to take larger, full booth spaces adjacent to our pod pavilion, so please let us know what is of most interest.

VR Connects San Francisco (June 27th-28th 2017) is a brand new event for the VR/AR industry created by Steel Media, the team behind the PG Connects series of conferences, Pocket Gamer, PG.biz, The Virtual Report, and the Global VR Challenge.

The event will bring together 500 delegates from across the VR/AR/MR industry (with a focus on hardware manufacturers, entertainment/game/educational/experiential developers, publishers, investors, media, and more). It will combine a lively expo space with 2 days of focused conference tracks spread over 4 tracks and covering the key questions facing the industry (global trends, technical and design issues, monetisation & business strategy, future technologies).

While information and inspiration are very important, the core of any show is who you meet and with that in mind we have a dedicated ‘Pitch & Match’ meeting system for free to all delegates to plan their own meetings, after hours networking events plus two dedicated pitching events (the VR Indie Pitch and the VR Speedmatch sessions designed to connect developers with publishers, media and platforms/stores) open to applications.
