VRARA Aerospace Online Meet

VRARA Aerospace Online Meet.png

Agenda:

  • Introductions by participants

  • Presenter: Keith Cooper

    • Overcoming initial frustrations

    • Keys  to success in implementation-how I used it

    • Where I see VR/AR going-applications

  • Guided Q&A

Presenter Bio

Keith Cooper entered the world of AR/VR a little different than most of us.  Growing up in Alaska in the 70's with the childhood goal of being a Bush Pilot, Keith learned to fly before getting his drivers license.  That interest and improving training carried him through his personal aviation achievements, his professional military career, and his career after retirement in the aerospace industry.  It was and still is an interest that queried and challenged how technology could make a difference to not only improve but in the end, save lives. He has seen how technology used in focused areas made operations during his time in Iraq more efficient, the same technology our general aviation and commercial pilots use to train for tough scenarios. Keith realized that the important factor in incorporating technology to areas where technology was not historically used was to always begin with the "end in mind" and bring those with the in house expertise on this technology in to the problem early on with a seat at the table. Said another way, he is a product of coming at the technology we discuss from the outside -in.

He is an optimistic operator who will  share with you his continuing journey to include some pitfalls and successes.
