The World Airline Training Summit, WATS, takes place in Orlando next week from the 30th April to 2nd May.

The event offers four conferences covering Flight Schools/Ab Initio, Pilot, Maintenance and Cabin crew training needs. With LATAM, Women in Aviation Training and EVTOL breakouts.

WATS brings together an international community of Airlines, Flight training academies, training providers and simulation manufacturers, plus the Regulators with over 80 exhibitors on the tradeshow floor and 1200 delegates.

VR training has long been established for Maintainers and Cabin Crew and for the past several years has been pushing into Flight training where smaller footprint, lower cost flight training devices offering 24/7, train anywhere capability is seen as a potentially game changer for the immediate future.

With AI and Adaptive Learning, a forecast of a doubling of the world fleet  and a new demographic to train these ‘new technologies’ are being actively investigated by FAA, EASA and others and will be demonstrated on the show floor.
