THE TEAM

Chapter President: Phil McGinnis charlotte@thevrara.com

Philip is a serial entrepreneur working on tourism and economic development primarily in the Charlotte region. Beyond Charlotte, Philip has worked to support and grow international events focusing on innovation and supporting startups seeking to partner with large companies in legacy industries such as financial services and retail. The main goal for the Charlotte Chapter of the VRARA is to promote innovation inclusion for rural communities and underrepresented populations throughout the region. AR and VR present the next generation of spatial computing and Philip is seeking to build a spatial computing ecosystem that has more respect for data privacy and the impact of technology on the well-being of society and individuals. 

Beyond the ethical and moral impact, the Charlotte Chapter of the VRARA will seek to bring economic benefits to larger companies by providing more immersive and engaging training and simulations that will directly impact costs and benefits for large companies the Charlotte region.
