Jacob Koo of VR't Ventures

We’re joined on the show by Jacob Koo who is the chief executive officer and co-founder of VR't Ventures, a company that is focused on developing virtual reality (VR) applications that affect everyone. On the show we discuss VR't Ventures virtual reality (VR) applications that capture and archive artistic expression through the power of 360-degree immersive technology, using volumetric photogrammetry and laser scanning to bring the best of museum experiences to VR.

We talk about VR't Ventures’ first project, “Kerry James Marshall: Mastry,” featuring a retrospective exhibition from renowned artist as seen at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. We discuss the balance of preserving the authenticity of the artistic works and museum experience, with new immersive experiences only made possible by VR, along with a fascinating new project VR't Ventures will be launching soon.

The “Kerry James Marshall: Mastry” immersive experience is available for free on the Samsung Gear VR app store operated by Oculus, and will soon be downloadable on PC and Mac. For more information, visit VRtVentures.art, or follow the company on Instagram and Twitter.
